Hey friends- Throughout the month of June, Ill be taking part in a production of Shakespeare's "As You Like It" for the famous Shakespeare in the Park series in New York's Central Park. "As You Like It" is one of Shakespeare's most song filled plays so for this peformance, Actor/Musician/Comedian Steve Martin rewrote the songs to fit a bluegrass band. The band consists of Tony Trischka on banjo, Tashina Clarridge on fiddle, Skip Ward on Bass, and myself on guitar. It is directed by acclaimed director Daniel Sullivan and features a star studded cast. More information- ShakespeareinthePark.org

Wow it still feels like July moving into August but its obviously not. What in God's name happened?
Summer is over. Its cool and crisp here in Boston and the trees are apprehensively debuting their new fall tree styles seeing if other trees make fun of them or jump on the bandwagon and don similar attire. Summer was great, gigs, travel, festivals, weddings. But those are summer things and its fall so lets talk about fall things.
First off, the new Jordan Tice Trio CD is sent to mastering today! We're looking at a mid november release date. Its sounding O so nice thanks to the engineering and mixing mastery of Dave Sinko. Cant wait to share.
Check out the concerts page for our cd release touring in late November/early December and early January. Make sure you check the current dates listed. We had to reschedule our original early/mid Nov dates because Paul got a gig warming up for some singer/songwriter no one cares about named Paul Simon. I think I might have seen that guy at a folk alliance showcase or something.
Aside from my own things, excited to be playing with some other fine folks this fall, Lily Henley, Footworks, Ari and Mia Friedman, Jake Schepps.
Also, keep an eye out for releases from some other projects im involved in: a new Dan Trueman/Brittany Haas record i played guitar on and the debut CD from fiddler Mariel Vandersteel that I produced as well as played on. Those should both be hitting around early december.
Anywho, happy fall.

Yo Dudes!
Welcome to my new internet home. The couch is still wrapped in plastic, it kinda smells like paint, there's nowhere to sit, and you need to step over some boxes while walking around but its home and I cant wait to get settled in on my new piece of internet property.
2011 is well established as already and will continue to be a wonderful musical year and the spot right where you are standing is a really great place to be to find out what all's going on.
First and foremost, I have a new CD on the way. Its all original music with myself on guitar as well as my dear friends Paul Kowert on Bass and Simon Chrisman on Hammered Dulcimer. We had the most ragingly idyllic recording session on South Padre Island, Texas with acoustic music recording wizard Dave Sinko Engineering this last March. Keep a look out for it later this year as information on our CD release tour.
Other activities on the books include work with singer/songwriter/violinist Lily Henley playing her songs as well as her interpretations of Hebrew and Ladino folks songs, raging rhythm with the Footworks Percussive Dance Ensemble, producing and recording fiddler Mariel Vandersteel's upcoming recording project, tour and a CD release with fiddler Brittany Haas and fiddler/composer Dan Trueman, as well as tons of other fun collaborations with friends in Boston and New York. Please Check back for updates on all these things
Thanks so much for stopping by. I know you have to get going but pop in any time. I live here now.
